Vatican St. Peter Basillica
Do you like this story?
I was so amazed by this place. Really...the first time I saw this place, I could said to myself..Emn..It was a very gorgeous historical architecture. The Basilica of Saint Peter (in Latin: Basilica Sancti Petri), officially known in Italian as the Basilica di San Pietro in Vaticano and commonly known as St. Peter's Basilica, which is the greatest of all churches of Christendomis located within the Vatican City. It has a very long history, so, if you travel there, you can learn about the history also. There are many tombs and relics. Check out also two clocks in the towers. The clock on the left has been operated electrically since 1931. Its oldest bell dates from 1288. One of the most important treasures of the cathedral is a mosaic set above the central external door. Called the "Navicella", it is based on a design by Giotto (early 13th century) and represents a ship symbolising the Christian Church. I was a bit confused when I heard the whole long story from my tour guide but I did enjoy a lot this trip as I could see many basilica's holy statues.
